Derek Sears

Derek Sears, trained as a chemist, turned to astronomy and geology in graduate school and until 2011 was university professor, W. M. Keck Professor of Space and Planetary Sciences, and Director of the Arkansas Center for Space and Planetary Sciences at the University of Arkansas. He is now Emeritus University Professor at the university and a Senior Research Scientist at the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute at the NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California.
